GIF Frame Settings for Smooth 24 FPS

When to Use This Chart: This applies when you’re making GIFs with the Animated Frames Tool (sliding or zooming images) or the Rotating Image Tool (rotating cube or plane). It shows how many frames and speed settings create a smooth, movie-like GIF (24 FPS).

Set the speed to 40 ms per frame in the GIF maker for these frame counts. Here’s how long the GIF will run:

Frames Speed (ms per frame) Total Time (seconds)
10 40 0.4
20 40 0.8
30 40 1.2
40 40 1.6
50 40 2.0
60 40 2.4
70 40 2.8
80 40 3.2
90 40 3.6
100 40 4.0

How to Use:

  • Fast GIF: Use fewer frames (e.g., 20–40) for 0.8–1.6 seconds.
  • Slow GIF: Use more frames (e.g., 70–100) for 2.8–4.0 seconds.
  • In the Animated Frames Tool or Rotating Image Tool, set frames with the slider. Then, in the GIF maker, set speed to 40 ms for smooth playback.

GIF Builder Tool

How to Use This GIF Making Tool

This tool allows you to upload multiple images, arrange their order, customize animation settings, and create a GIF. You can preview the result and download it as a single file. Follow these steps to use the tool:

  1. Select Saved Images from Meme Creator: On the right side of the screen, locate the select menu. This dropdown lists folders containing images saved from the Meme Creator app. Click the menu and select a folder name to display its images in the shared image panel. Grab and drag any desired image from this panel to the preview area to add it to your GIF sequence. Repeat to add more images from the same or other folders. To close the menu, select the “Close Menu” option, the first choice in the dropdown.
  2. Upload Your Images: Click the "Choose File" button next to the file input to select one or more images (PNG or JPEG). Hold Ctrl (or Cmd) to select multiple files at once. The images will appear in the preview area below the input, each with its filename displayed.
  3. Arrange Image Order: Drag and drop the images in the preview area to rearrange their sequence. The order you set here determines the frame order in your GIF.
  4. Adjust Animation Speed: Use the speed slider to set the frame duration in milliseconds. The default is 40 ms for a smooth, movie-like effect. Increase the value to slow down the animation if desired.
  5. Customize GIF Options: Use the checkboxes to tweak your GIF:
    • Loop Forever: Check to make the GIF repeat indefinitely; uncheck for a single playthrough.
    • Ping-Pong Loop: Check to make the GIF play forward then backward in a loop (e.g., 1-2-3-2-1).
    • Transparency On/Off: Check to enable transparent backgrounds (default); uncheck for an opaque black background.
  6. Create the GIF: Click the "Create GIF" button to generate your animation. The images will be processed into a 600x600 pixel GIF, resized proportionally to fit, and displayed in the preview area below. If no images are uploaded, you’ll see an alert.
  7. Download Your GIF: Once the GIF is created, the "Download GIF" button appears. Click it to save the GIF file (named "generated.gif") to your device.

Tips:

  • Upload images in the order you want initially, then fine-tune with drag-and-drop for precision.
  • For smoother animations, use shorter frame durations like 40–100 ms and include more images.
  • Test transparency with PNGs that have transparent areas to see the effect in the preview.
  • For numbered images (e.g., "image_1.jpg", "image_2.jpg"), uploading them together should display them in the correct order automatically. For named images without numbers (e.g., "cat.jpg", "dog.jpg"), upload them one at a time in the desired order for better control.
  • When using saved images from the Meme Creator app, select them one at a time from the "Saved Images" menu to ensure they appear in the shared image panel before dragging to the preview area.

GIF Combiner Tool

How to Combine Existing GIFs

This tool lets you combine two or more existing animated GIFs into a single animation. It's useful for remixing or merging short loops, adding effects, or blending multiple GIFs from your previous creations. Here's how to use it:

  1. Select GIF Files: Click the "Choose File" button to upload two or more .gif files from your device. You can hold Ctrl (or Cmd) to select multiple GIFs at once. The uploaded GIFs will appear in a list with preview thumbnails and their filenames.
  2. Reorder GIFs: Drag and drop the GIF thumbnails in the list to change their order. The sequence shown here determines the order in which the animations will be combined.
  3. Choose Playback Mode: Use the dropdown menu labeled "Playback Mode" to select how your combined GIF should play:
    • Loop: Plays the sequence continuously from start to finish in a loop.
    • Ping-Pong: Plays the sequence forward and then backward repeatedly (e.g., A → B → A).
    • Play Once: Plays the combined sequence only one time and then stops.
  4. Combine the GIFs: Click the "Combine and Download" button to process the selected GIFs. The system will merge them in the order you arranged, apply the selected playback mode, and prepare the final combined animation.
  5. Download the Final GIF: Your browser will automatically download the combined GIF as soon as it's ready. No files are saved on the server — everything is processed temporarily for your session only.

Tips:

  • Only animated GIFs are supported — static images like PNG or JPG will not work in this tool.
  • GIFs of different sizes will be automatically adjusted to match the output dimensions during combination.
  • The order of GIFs matters! If your animations tell a story or depend on sequence, arrange them carefully using drag-and-drop before combining.
  • If you want smoother transitions between GIFs, try making each GIF loop naturally before combining.
  • This tool is ideal for combining short effects or transitions with larger base animations created in the GIF Builder tool.

Colored Background Tool

How to Use This Tool to Add Colored Backgrouds to Your Images for a GIF

This tool lets you upload multiple images, resize them to 500x500 pixels, and place them on a consistent colored background of your choice. Here’s how to use it to prepare images for creating a GIF:

  1. Select Your Images: Click the "Choose Files" button next to "Batch Image Resizer" and select all the images you want to include in your GIF. You can pick multiple files at once (e.g., hold Ctrl or Cmd while clicking).
  2. Choose a Background Color: Use the color picker labeled "Background Color" to select a color for the background of all your images. For example, pick black (#000000) for a classic look, or any color that matches your GIF’s theme.
  3. Process and Download: Click the "Process & Download ZIP" button. The tool will resize each image to 500x500 pixels, place it on the chosen background color, and package all the processed images into a single ZIP file called recolored_images.zip.
  4. Unzip the Files: After downloading, extract the ZIP file to get your resized images (named image_0.png, image_1.png, etc.). Each image will be 500x500 with the same background color.
  5. Use in a GIF Maker: Take these images to your GIF creation tool (like the "Gif Making Tool" on this site). Upload them there, arrange the order, set the speed, and create your GIF with a uniform background.

Tip: Since all images will have the same background color, your GIF will look seamless and consistent. If your images have transparency, the selected color will show through those areas.

Rotating Image Tool

How to Use This Tool to Capture Frames for a GIF

This tool allows you to upload one or four images, manipulate their position and rotation on a 3D cube or 2D plane, and download PNG frames for use in a GIF. You can capture the current state or generate a full rotation sequence in ZIP format. Follow these steps to use the tool:

  1. Upload Your Image(s): Click the "Choose File" button next to "Upload Next Image (Front, Left, Back, Right)" to select an image.
    • For a single image, upload one file to apply it to all four vertical sides of the cube (Front, Left, Back, Right).
    • For four images, upload each image one at a time in this order: Front (1st), Left (2nd), Back (3rd), Right (4th). Each upload adds the next image without removing the previous ones.
The uploaded image(s) will appear on the canvas, either as a flat plane (2D mode) or a spinning cube (3D mode).
  2. Choose Texture Mode: Use the "Use Four Images" checkbox to switch between modes:
    • Unchecked: One image mode—applies the first uploaded image to all four sides (Front, Left, Back, Right).
    • Checked: Four images mode—assigns each uploaded image to a specific side in the order you upload them (Front, Left, Back, Right).
Top and Bottom faces remain a solid color, adjustable via the "Edge Color" picker.
  3. Switch Between 2D and 3D: Click the "Switch to 3D" button to toggle between a flat 2D plane and a 3D cube. In 3D mode, the cube spins to show the four sides with your images, while Top and Bottom stay solid.
  4. Adjust Position and Rotation: Use the rotation sliders (Rotate X, Y, Z) to manually adjust the cube or plane’s orientation. Alternatively, enable "Auto Rotate" options (X, Y, Z) for continuous spinning. The Y-axis spins counterclockwise, showing Front → Left → Back → Right in sequence.
  5. Capture the Current State: When satisfied with the current view, click the "Download Current State" button to download a PNG file of the canvas as it appears (600x600 pixels).
  6. Generate a Full Rotation Sequence: To capture a series of images for a GIF:
    • Enable one or more "Auto Rotate" checkboxes to set the rotation axis (e.g., Y for counterclockwise spin).
    • Adjust the "Number of Frames" slider (10 to 100) to set how many frames to capture.
    • Click the "Download Full Rotation" button. The tool captures your chosen number of frames of the cube’s rotation and packages them in a ZIP file.
  7. Extract and Organize: Unzip the downloaded ZIP file. The images are named sequentially (e.g., 0.png, 1.png, etc.) for easy import into a GIF builder.
  8. Creating Your GIF: Upload the extracted images to your preferred GIF-making tool. Arrange them, adjust timing, and export your animated GIF.

Tips:

  • For a numbered sequence (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), upload images in order: 1 (Front), 2 (Left), 3 (Back), 4 (Right), 5 (Top), 6 (Bottom) with "Use Six Images" checked.
  • Use the "Reset Position" button to return to the starting orientation.
  • For smoother animations, combine rotation sequences from multiple axes or tweak timing in your GIF tool.

How to Use the Rotating and spinning Animation Tool

This tool lets you create an animation with an optional spinning background image and a zooming or sliding foreground image, then download it as a single frame or full animation ZIP.

Steps:

  1. Set Up the Background (Optional):
    • Click the "Background Spinner Controls" file input to upload an image for the spinning background, if desired.
    • Use the X, Y, and Z rotation sliders to adjust the starting angle (from -180° to 180°).
    • Check the "Auto" boxes next to each slider to enable continuous spinning along those axes.
    • If no background image is uploaded, the animation will feature only the foreground image’s zoom or slide effect.
  2. Set Up the Foreground Image:
    • Click the "Zoom Controls" file input to upload an image that will zoom in and out or slide over the background (or canvas if no background is set).
    • Select the animation type: "Zoom" for zooming, "Slide Top-to-Bottom" for vertical motion, or "Slide Left-to-Right" for horizontal motion.
    • For zooming: Adjust the "Speed" slider (0.001 to 0.05) to control how fast the zoom cycles, set the "Min Scale" (0.1 to 0.5) and "Max Scale" (0.5 to 2.0) sliders to define the zoom range.
    • For sliding: Adjust the "Slide Speed" slider (0.001 to 0.05) to control how fast the image slides, set the "Max Scale" slider (0.5 to 2.0) to define the size of the sliding image.
  3. Preview the Animation:
    • The background will spin if any "Auto" boxes are checked and a background image is uploaded; the foreground image will zoom or slide continuously based on the selected animation type.
  4. Capture the Animation:
    • Click "Download Current Frame" to save the current view as a PNG.
    • Set the "Frames" slider (10 to 100) to choose how many frames per rotation to capture (total frames will be double this number).
    • Click "Download Full Animation" to save a ZIP file with the full animation:
      • Starts with zero rotation and minimum zoom scale (for zooming) or initial slide position (for sliding).
      • Background spins two full rotations (if auto-rotation is enabled and a background image is uploaded).
      • Zoom completes one full cycle (in and out) or slide completes one full cycle (e.g., top-to-bottom or left-to-right).

Notes:

  • The live animation continues from its current state after capture, unaffected by the download starting point.
  • The tool is hidden by default; click the "Menu" tab to slide it into view, and "Close Tool" to hide it.
  • For sliding animations, adjust the "Max Scale" to ensure the foreground image fits well within the canvas.
  • A background image is optional; sliding or zoom effects work with only the foreground image, using a transparent or default canvas background.
