When exporting my project in the writing tool, why does it ask if I want to include a Table of Contents (TOC)?
The TOC helps readers navigate your book, especially in EPUB/DOCX formats. We let you choose to include it or not — ideal for guides and non-fiction. Novels may not need one.
Why do I have to download my book and upload it again to keep working on it?
Your project is stored on your own device for privacy and control. You can upload it again to resume editing. Use Dropbox to keep your files portable across devices.
Besides Dropbox, what other options are there for making my book project portable?
You can use Google Drive, OneDrive, USB sticks, or email your file to yourself. Dropbox is the only one with direct integration, but all options work for keeping backups and moving between devices.
Why would I use Dropbox with my Patmya projects?
Dropbox makes your book portable. You can save projects there and access/edit them from any device by logging in and uploading from Dropbox. It's optional, but recommended for frequent users.
EPUB or DOCX — Which Should I Use?
✅ Use DOCX for publishing — it’s preferred by D2D, KDP, and others. It’s easy to edit or convert later.
📦 Use EPUB for personal reading or testing on eReaders.
You can choose either — we give you both options.
Why does Patmya.com download my book projects in Word DOCX format instead of PDF?
DOCX is editable, supported by all major platforms, and can be converted into PDF easily. This gives you full flexibility for final formatting before publishing.

In the DOCX and PDF builders, what are blank pages and why would I need them?
Blank pages help force layout alignment on platforms like KDP. They’re useful when you want specific content to appear on right-hand pages.
Why do you not offer pre-made backgrounds for banners?
We want you to control the design. Add your own background image or use shapes and gradients for a fully custom look.
How do I know if my banner is the right size?
Just pick a size from the dropdown — we provide the correct dimensions automatically. No guesswork. No resizing needed.
Can I create more than one banner at a time?
Yes. All banners in a session must be the same size. Use Add/Delete Pages to create multiple banners and download them separately.
Can I save my banners and edit them later?
Banners are created inside the Graphic Novel tool. You can download a finished banner as a PNG in the exact size you selected when creating the page. You can also download your project as a .pmg file, which lets you upload it later and continue editing just like any graphic novel project.
Are my banners mine to use? Is it really free?
Yes. We don’t watermark or brand your work. Design, download, and use them however you want — no signup required.
Can I watermark my banners?
Absolutely. Add text and use the opacity slider to create your own watermark. It’s simple and built in.
